Federal Way police seize 865 marijuana plants, arrest two women

Federal Way police executed search warrants at four properties Wednesday over illegally-grown marijuana.

The department’s special investigations unit targeted residences in the 1900 block of Southwest Campus Drive; the 31700 block of 42nd Avenue Southwest; the 32100 block of 43rd Place Southwest; and the 32800 block of 43rd Place Southwest.

The warrants led to the seizure of 865 marijuana plants and “a significant amount of U.S. currency,” according to a police spokesperson. A vehicle and other high-value items were also seized.

Two adult females were arrested and booked at the SCORE jail, according to police. The suspects face charges of manufacturing a controlled substance and conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance.
