Federal Way police investigating rape allegations against former high school coach

The suspect is not affiliated with any high school in Federal Way, according to police.

Federal Way police are investigating a rape allegation against a former high school coach.

An 18-year-old woman reported to police on April 7 that she was allegedly raped by a 39-year-old man after the two of them had consumed alcohol at a Fred Meyer in Federal Way, according to police documents.

The woman told police the man was a former high school coach. Federal Way Police Department Commander Kurt Schwan confirmed the suspect is not affiliated with any high school in Federal Way.

The Mirror has reached out to the Federal Way Police Department for more information about this case and will update this story when more information becomes available.
