Federal Way police arrest suspects in Friday drive-by

Federal Way police arrested two suspects in a drive-by shooting on Friday.

At 10:37 p.m. officers responded to a road rage incident in which suspects in a white Lexus with a plastic bag on the back window shot at another car.

The victim was not injured.

Police tried to stop the Lexus, but the suspects fled. Later, officers found the vehicle and the suspects in the 2300 block of South 292nd Street. According to police documents, two suspects – a 27-year-old man and a 39-year-old man – were seen walking near the Lexus and matched suspect descriptions given by the victim.

Police arrested the suspects. Documents state one of the suspects had the keys to the vehicle in-hand. The victim met officers at the scene and positively identified them.

After they were taken to SCORE Jail on assault and attempt-to-elude police charges, SCORE Jail staff found nearly a half gram of heroin in the 39-year-old suspect’s sweatshirt pocket.

The suspects are expected to be charged at a later date.
