Federal Way police arrest homeless woman who stabbed Wal-Mart employee

A homeless woman stabbed a Federal Way Wal-Mart loss prevention employee on Friday.

According to Federal Way Police Department spokeswoman Cathy Schrock, the stabbing occurred at around 9:50 p.m. at the Wal-Mart, 34520 16th Ave. S.

Wal-Mart loss prevention employees believed the woman, age 26, shoplifted from the store. A 26-year-old male employee followed her outside to confront her, but she drew a knife and stabbed him.

Aid personnel transported the man to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. His injuries are non-life threatening.

Federal Way police arrested the woman.
