The community celebrated Earth Day by walking down South 336th Street, under Interstate-5 and around the Weyerhaeuser meadows, before reaching the North Lake Public Access, only to return to their starting point. The Save Weyerhaeuser Campus group and concerned citizens passed out new buttons to wear during the walk. The buttons symbolized support for preserving the former Weyerhaeuser campus’s green space Federal Way, an issue the Save Weyerhaeuser Campus group has been working toward since last summer.
