If you received a new cell phone for Christmas and think that your old one is just trash — don’t throw it away.

You can repurpose that old smart phone as an e-reader, or a baby monitor, a kitchen timer or you can give it to the South King Firefighters Foundation and they will recycle it for you. Just bring your old phone to the South King Fire and Rescue Station 62 at 31617 First Ave. S., Federal Way.
