Crime blotter: Jan. 19, 2008

The following is a sample from the Federal Way police public information log:

• At 9:37 p.m. Jan. 15, officers responded to reports of gunshots fired near 1401 S. 348th St. Witnesses reported seeing a group of males fighting in front of the Starbucks at the time of the gunshots.

• At 12:29 a.m. Jan. 14, a man reported being robbed by three prostitutes with a gun at 33230 Pacific Highway South. The man said the women took $600 from his wallet and drove away in a silver car.

• At 10:09 a.m. Jan. 14, officers responded to a reported abduction at 27400 Pacific Highway South. When officers arrived, they discovered the girl had lied about being abducted because she didn’t want to get in trouble with her mother for skipping school.

• At 11:39 p.m. Jan. 14, an officer noticed a car driving down southbound Interstate 5 near South 272nd Street with a passenger hanging out of the window. During a traffic stop, the passenger fell from the window onto the pavement and was run over by the still moving vehicle. The victim did not appear to be injured but was taken to St. Francis Hospital as a precaution.

• At 5:14 p.m. Jan. 11, a resident in an apartment at 33020 10th Ave. S. was inside the apartment when an unknown person kicked in the front door and ran away. The resident panicked, ran outside and pulled the fire alarm, prompting police response. The victim did not see the suspect.

• At 3:00 p.m. Jan. 10, a person was walking along the sidewalk near the 3200 block of SW 338th Street when an unknown suspect walked up, punched him and stole his iPod Nano. The suspect ran away. The victim didn’t hear the suspect because he was walking while listening to his iPod.

• At 8:33 p.m. Jan. 9, a man at 32323 11th Place S. called police to report that he was experiencing alcohol withdrawals.

• At 12:51 p.m. Jan. 8, a woman called police to report that she had been raped the night before by an unknown person.
