Fourth of July citations in Federal Way

The Federal Way police issued 28 civil infractions, 42 warnings and gave out 10 other citations during a 24-hour period on July 4, assistant police chief Andy Hwang said. Of those, 17 tickets and 30 warnings were given by patrol officers. The 10 non-fireworks related violations included public intoxication.

This Fourth of July, there were 113 calls placed to 911 during the 24-hour timeframe. Last year, 106 were placed.
