Saghalie teacher selected for Space Academy

Tracy Trivitt, a teacher at Saghalie Middle School, was one of three educators from Washington state to be selected to participate in the 2010 Honeywell Educators at Space Academy program at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Ala., this summer. The program is designed to help teachers move beyond the standard math and science curriculum with supplemental teaching techniques developed through real-life astronaut training.
Trivitt teaches math, science and leadership at Saghalie. She is also an ASB advisor. She has participated in the University of Washington’s Physics by Inquiry program and the University of Washington’s Summer Institute for Life Science Teachers.
