Sullivan will challenge Miloscia for District 30 state House seat

Political newcomer Shawn Sullivan will challenge incumbent State Rep. Mark Miloscia (D-Federal Way) for his seat in Olympia. Sullivan, 32, declared his 2010 Republican candidacy earlier this month.

A Washington native who moved to Federal Way three years ago after serving in the U.S. Army, Sullivan entered the race out of frustration with District 30 State Sen. Tracey Eide's office not returning an inquiry after the Senate suspended Initiative 960, he said.

"What I would like to see most is to have somebody in place who will actually listen to the concerns of the people in the 30th District," he said.
