At approximately 9:30 a.m. March 10, a rollover accident took place at 34004 16th Ave. S.
A driver traveling northbound on Pacific Highway South in an SUV turned right at S. 341st Place and continued to turn left, crossing northbound lanes of traffic on 16th Ave. S., in an attempt to turn into a strip mall driveway at 34004 16th Ave. S. A compact vehicle traveling northbound on 16th Ave. S. broadsided the SUV while it made its turn into the driveway.
The impact caused the SUV to flip completely over, landing in the driveway and nearby shrubbery. The SUV's rear and front windows broke, scattering the vehicle's glass and belongings.
Neither the driver of the SUV, nor the driver and 3-year-old occupant of the compact car, were injured seriously, Lt. John Stieben said. Nobody was in need of medical aid, he said.
The driver of the SUV was cited for the incident.
