Decomposed body found near I-5

The King County Sheriff's Department reports that a decomposed body was found about 2:30 p.m. Jan. 7 by Washington State DOT workers clearing brush along I-5 just east of Federal Way. The body was found near the 3100 block of South 298th Street. Due to the advanced state of decomposition, it was impossible to tell the gender or cause of death, the department said. The remains were turned over to the King County Medical Examiner's office.
