Asphalt Overlay Project for FW streets

The Federal Way City Council has approved a preliminary list of streets to receive an asphalt overlay as part of the 2010 Asphalt Overlay Project. The total cost of the endeavor is expected at a little more than $2.09 million. Following are the streets that will see the overlay, as well as sidewalk, gutter, curbing and wheelchair access improvements in some areas:
• 1st Way South at South 338th Street to South 344th Street
• South 317th Street at 23rd Avenue South to 28th Avenue South
• Milton Road South (South 369th Street) to the city limits (near South 376th Street)
• 23rd Avenue South at South 319th Street to South 322nd Street
• South 320th Street at 11th Place South to 8th Avenue South
• South 320th Street at 8th Avenue South to 6th Avenue South
Advertising for bids is likely to begin in February and construction could start in May.
