Federal Way man killed in Sept. 6 car crash

Federal Way resident Scott A. Glover, 26, was killed about 2:30 a.m. Sunday in a crash on Interstate 5 in south Seattle, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Glover was a passenger in a disabled 1996 Ford bus filled with party-goers that was parked on the right shoulder of the freeway at the Boeing Access Road, according to a report in the Tacoma News Tribune. He got out of the bus and was attempting to make repairs. A southbound 2002 Ford pickup driven by a 39-year-old California man struck him and the bus. He died at the scene of the accident.

A southbound 2001 Kia Sephia driven by a 37-year-old Federal Way man then struck the pickup from behind, according to the report. The drivers of the pickup and the Kia were both transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with injuries. A 50-year-old Federal Way woman who was a passenger in the Kia was also injured and transported to the hospital. The State Patrol reported that alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash. The accident is under investigation by the State Patrol for possible criminal charges including vehicular homicide, according to the report.
