Federal Way man, 24, is slain at apartment complex

From the Federal Way police:

The Federal Way Police Department responded to a report of suspicious circumstances at about 1:05 p.m. June 3 at the Cascade Ridge Apartments, 1900 SW Campus Drive. The first arriving officers discovered areas of blood outside a building. They located an adult male unconscious and suffering from several possible puncture wounds. An officer administered CPR at the scene until rescue personnel arrived. The male was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. The victim is Jose Alfredo Jiminez, age 24.

The first arriving officers also confronted a male attempting to leave the area. The male was detained by police. The investigation has revealed this male to be the suspect and a roommate of the victim. The suspect has been booked into the King County Jail and charges are pending. The suspect is not being named until charges are filed.
