Federal Way police are enrolling citizens interested in learning more about the police force and how it operates in an eight-week Citizen's Academy.

The class is free and open to the public. It is designed to educated individuals about the jobs local police officers perform. The class runs from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays beginning April 7. A tour of the Valley Communications 911 center and a police ride-along are part of the class. For more information or to register for the academy, call Lindsey Tiroux at (253) 835-6720.
