Suspect blows up mailbox | Federal Way crime blotter

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:
• Exploding mailbox: At 10:33 p.m. Feb. 21 in the 30100 block of 11th Place South, an unknown suspect placed explosive devices in a mailbox. The explosion destroyed the mailbox.
• Public urination: At 2:27 p.m. Feb. 21 in the 32000 block of 20th Avenue South, a person was contacted by police for urinating in public.
• Dog fight: At 10:29 a.m. Feb. 21 at 650 S.W. Campus Drive, two people and one dog were bitten when a leashed pit bull and a Shitzu got in a fight.
• Stolen mail: At 1:34 p.m. Feb. 24 in the 32200 block of 25th Avenue SW, a person reported his or her mail stolen.
• Tires snatched: At 7:12 p.m. Feb. 25 at 32529 Pacific Highway South, two tires were stolen from Firestone Tire and Auto Center.
• High-priced scope missing: At 11:48 a.m. Feb. 25 at 1405 S. 348th St., it was reported that an unknown suspect took a Swarovski rifle scope, valued at $2,828, from an optics counter through an unknown means.
