40-year-old motorcyclist dies in suspected DUI crash

A 40-year-old man died after his motorcycle crashed in Federal Way on Thursday evening.

It appears speed and alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, according to Federal Way Cmdr. Kurt Schwan, who was unable to provide more details.

Federal Way police and South King Fire and Rescue responded to the crash around 4 p.m. in the 800 block of SW 356th St. The roadway surrounding the crash was closed for several hours as the Major Accident Investigation Team investigated the collision, on 356th Street from 11th Avenue Southwest to 6th Avenue Southwest.

King County medical examiners have not yet identified the man.
