Woodstone still collecting food
Woodstone Credit Union is extending their food drive through the month of December. Woodstone began collecting non-perishable food items and cash donations for the Multi-Service Center Food Bank in October. Recognizing the increasing number of families now relying on the food bank for help, Woodstone extended the donation campaign through December.
“As a credit union, our commitment is to the welfare of our entire community and with the current economic situation, many families in Federal Way are turning to the food bank for help,” said Susan Streifel, president and CEO of the credit unioin. “The food drive is an excellent way for all of us in the community to help our neighbors in need during this stressful time. The response so far has been wonderful and shows that people are looking for ways to help each other.”
Donations of non-perishable food items and cash will be accepted at any Woodstone Credit Union location through Dec. 22 and will be distributed prior to Christmas. All donations of any size are welcome. Cash donations will be used by the Multi-Service Center Food Bank to purchase food items.
