Baby suffers critical head injuries in Federal Way crash

The following is a report from the Federal Way Police Department:
At approximately 12:19 a.m. Nov. 21, Federal Way police responded to an automobile accident in the 800 block of SW 356th Street.
A white Mercury Sable was traveling eastbound on SW 356th Street when it lost control, rolling over several times before coming to rest, upside down, on an embankment.
The sole passenger of the vehicle, an 11-month-old Hispanic male, was ejected from the vehicle, suffering critical injuries to his head. The driver of the vehicle, a 30-year-old Hispanic male from Federal Way, also suffered injuries from the accident and was extricated from the vehicle by South King Fire and Rescue.
Both the driver and the passenger were transported separately to Harborview Medical Center. The relationship between the passenger and driver is unknown at this time.
An investigation is ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
