Five-car crash in Federal Way kills two people

Two people died in a five-car crash about 6 p.m. Oct. 30 in Federal Way.
Reports said a car heading north on Interstate 5 at 272nd Street crossed the median and went into southbound traffic.
Federal Way resident Robert Galaviz, 55, and Seattle resident Georgina Steele, 61, both died in the crash, according to the Washington State Patrol. Four people were injured, including a 51-year-old Puyallup driver believed to have caused the crash; state patrol arrested the Puyallup driver, who was listed in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center, reports said.
The backup from the multi-vehicle collision was at least five miles, according to the state Department of Transportation. All southbound lanes were closed except for the carpool lane. The accident scene extended several hundred feet; fire and rescue personnel were on the scene.
