Sex offender arrested for filming up girls’ skirts at Wild Waves in Federal Way

A Bremerton man and registered sex offender was arrested last Saturday for filming up girls’ skirts while at Wild Waves theme park in Federal Way.

Duane Joel DeJesus, 33, allegedly ducked into a gift shop when security attempted to contact him for the supposed voyeurism. A patron observed him filming girls ages 13-16, police documents state.

DeJesus willingly let security check his cell phone, to which they saw video of women’s crotches, the documents continue. Post-Miranda, DeJesus admitted to taking the videos and pictures for the purpose of sexual gratification and that he receives counseling for his problem, according to the documents.

DeJesus is being held on a $10,000 bail at the Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent.

He has a criminal record from Kitsap County dating back to 2007.
