More people are choosing to get out of town this summer compared to last year.

Local and regional travel experts report more people are on the roads, in the air and on cruise ships taking summer vacations. The travel industry is seeing a resurrection of sorts following down years due to a sagging economy weighed down by fears left over from the 9-11 terrorist attacks.

Janet Ray of AAA Washington said that across the state, the popular destinations are for Disneyland to celebrate that American landmark’s 50th anniversary
