Police find box of drug fixings

The following is a sample from the Federal Way police public information log:

• At 9:03 a.m. May 23, officers responded to reports of a suspicious box in the roadway at 32500 21st Ave. S.W. The box contained drug paraphernalia including spoons, a digital scale, needles, baggies, a deflated balloon and a knife.

• At 12:43 p.m. May 24, a woman reported that an 11-year-old family friend sexually assaulted her 6-year-old son at 31500 1st Ave. S.

• At 1:24 a.m. May 23, officers responded to an alarm at 1600 S.W. 312th St. Surveillance video revealed that a suspect had kicked in the front glass door to the business, but didn’t come inside.

• At 12:29 a.m. May 22, a woman was arrested for driving under the influence after driving her car through a fence and onto the sidewalk at Glen Park Apartments, 925 S.W. Campus Drive.

• At 2:19 p.m. May 21, a man was arrested for warrants at The Commons after mall security found him with a toy gun.

• At 4:07 p.m. May 21, an officer shot and killed a dog at 4231 S.W. 328th Court after the dog lunged at him while he investigated an aggressive dog complaint.

• At 10:20 a.m. May 19, a female resident at the Hallmark Manor reported that a male resident there inappropriately touched her sexually.

• At 2:20 p.m. May 19, a Federal Way resident reported being scammed after sending a $1,400 check to someone they met over the Internet for an English Bulldog that they never received.

• At 5:41 p.m. May 18, a resident reported that someone spray-painted the word “Chink” on neighborhood mailboxes at 713 S.W. 353rd Place The resident was concerned because there are several Asian Americans who live on the block.
