Orting man, 64, dies in truck rollover

December 14, 2012 · Updated 5:05 PM

A semi-truck driver was killed Wednesday morning when his truck rolled over on the west bound entrance to Highway 18 from State Route 167.

The King County Medical Examiner's Office on Friday identified the man as Roger S. Warren, 64, of Orting.

At 10:48 a.m. firefighters from the Valley Regional Fire Authority responding to the accident learned from witnesses that Warren was still trapped in the cab.

Firefighters got him out but he was already dead. The Medical Examiner listed the cause of death as positional asphyxia.

The ramp from westbound SR 167 to Highway 18 remained closed for much of the day as the Washington State Patrol continued to investigate the accident.
