Mirror hires new publisher

Stuart Chernis started as the new publisher of the Federal Way Mirror on April 30.

Chernis has extensive experience in the publishing business, most recently as regional sales manager for the Real Estate Book’s Puget Sound market. Chernis has also worked as an advertising director for Enterprise Newspapers, as general manager for Seattle Child magazine, and as a sales representative and display manager for the Seattle Times, where he spent 21 years.

A Washington native, Chernis is a graduate of Bothell High School and University of Washington. He and his wife, Diane, are the proud parents of an 8-year-old daughter, Rachel.
