Upcoming school board candidate forums

• Another forum for school board candidates will run 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Lakota Middle School cafeteria, 1415 S.W. 314th St. Childcare for children up to age 12 will be provided. The event is sponsored by the Lakota and Green Gables Elementary PTAs.

• Citizens for Federal Way Schools will sponsor an educational issues forum from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 11 at Decatur High School's performing arts center, 2800 SW 320th St. State Sen. Tracey Eide will provide information about EHJR 4204 and simple majority. A question-and-answer session with the school board candidates will follow.

• The American Association of University Women will host a forum for school board candidates at 10 a.m. Oct. 13 at Foundation House, 35521 1st Ave. S., Federal Way. To learn more, call (253) 927-2461.

• School board candidates will meet for a forum at 6 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Federal Way Senior Center, 4016 S. 352nd St., Auburn. To learn more, call (253) 838-3604.
