Federal Way police pursuit ends with arrest in Tacoma

Mirror staff reports:

Federal Way police were involved in a pursuit that ended with the arrest of two suspects.

A police spokeswoman reported at 1:47 a.m. Monday that officers had spotted an occupied stolen vehicle just after it was aired via radio that it had been stolen out of Kent.

Following an attempt to stop the vehicle, a pursuit was initiated, according to police. Two suspects were arrested on the exit/overpass of southbound I-5 at the city center exit in Tacoma, according to police. A K-9 unit was utilized to capture one of two suspects that fled the scene.

The vehicle spun out at the location and there was no collision, according to police. Aid was being provided to the suspect driver that fled due to K-9 contact, police said.
