Federal Way police hunt for burglary suspect

Federal Way police are searching for a suspect in a residential burglary.
Police responded to a call at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday about a burglary in progress in the 32000 block of 41st Ave. SW. Two male suspects and a vehicle were seen leaving the area. The vehicle was located at a residence in the 30800 block of 50th Place SW, where police believed a second burglary was taking place.
The vehicle was confirmed as stolen, and one male suspect was arrested, according to police. A K-9 unit was unable to track the second suspect, who is still at large.
The suspect has been described as a white male, about 20 years old, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build, green stocking cap, jeans, and a black Carhart jacket.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
During the police activity, Decatur High School, Green Gables Elementary and Twin Lakes Elementary were placed on lockdown. The lockdown has since been lifted at all three schools, the district reports. Police report that a daycare center in the area was placed on lockdown.
