Boys and Girls club breakfast raises $55,000

Angela Reitan, the 2007 Youth of the Year, receives a standing ovation after delivering a speech titled “What the Boys and Girls Club Means to Me” during the annual Breakfast for Kids, held April 8 at Emerald Downs in Auburn. The breakfast, which raised nearly $55,000, serves as a main fundraiser for the Federal Way and Auburn Boys and Girls Clubs as well as the EX3 Ron Sandwith Teen Center. Special guest speakers included astronaut Bonnie Dunbar as well as former Seahawks and University of Washington quarterback Brock Huard.
