Man shot in Federal Way, now in stable condition

A man was shot several times after a late-night party in Federal Way.
Federal Way police received a 911 call at 3 a.m. Friday in the 29600 block of 24th Ave. S., which is near Wildwood Elementary School and Military Road. Police were advised of a shooting victim in the residence. The 27-year-old male victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen. His girlfriend was also on scene.
As of noon Friday, the victim has finished surgery and is in stable condition, although unable to interview with detectives, according to a police spokeswoman. The victim's girlfriend did not witness the shooting, the spokeswoman said, and detectives are executing a search warrant at the residence.
The preliminary investigation indicates that earlier in the night, there was a party with six to eight people at the residence. At the time of the 911 call, occupants of the residence were gone, except the victim and his girlfriend. The victim and girlfriend are not residents of the home; the residents of the home, which is a rental property, have not been located.
There is no additional information as to motive for the shooting, or suspect description, police report.
