The Washington State Liquor Control Board will announce results of the online state liquor store auction on Monday, April 23.

The online auction closes at 4 p.m. Friday, April 20.

Successful bidders will have earned the exclusive rights to apply for a liquor license at the current state liquor store location within its current footprint. The state is auctioning 167 locations, including two in Kent, as it gets out of the liquor business and turns it over to private businesses as approved last year by voters.

Bids are being taken to buy all 167 stores for one price as well as for individual stores.
