Food drive seeks Federal Way volunteers

From staff reports:

Volunteers are needed for the Federal Way Diversity Commission food drive in January. The commission is hosting the food drive Jan. 14, in conjunction with the Martin Luther King holiday weekend.

Donations will be collected between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and will benefit the Multi-Service Center’s Federal Way Food Bank, which is one of the largest food banks in South King County. Volunteers are needed to help staff the Federal Way area grocery stores for this year’s drive.

Volunteers will be collecting donations at participating local grocery stores: Fred Meyer (Twin Lakes), Albertson’s, Safeway (S. 320th and 336th streets), Top Foods, and both Wal-Mart locations (S. 314th and S. 348th streets).
