From staff reports:

Federal Way hopes to complete the Phase IV work on Pacific Highway South this weekend, starting on Dec. 2 and going no later than Dec. 4. This pavement marking work covers the stretch from S. 340th Street to S. 272nd Street.

Local drivers should prepare for construction-related delays on that stretch of Pacific Highway South from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. All of this still is contingent upon the weather, according to the city.

“We’ve been waiting since early November for a stretch of dry weather that would allow the final work to be done,” said Cary Roe, public works and parks director, in a news release. “It looks like we’ll get several days with the right conditions, so we’re going to push to get the project finished for drivers and area businesses.”

The city hopes to complete some additional work in the next two weeks, including adjusting street utility valve covers, street landscaping and permanent signage.
