October 19, 2011 · Updated 2:55 PM
From staff reports:
Federal Way will host the second Twin Lakes subarea plan public workshop on October 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 26 at City Hall, 33325 8th Ave. S.
This meeting is being held for public input on the land use plan for the Twin Lakes subarea. The subarea encompasses the area bounded by SW Campus Drive and 21st Avenue Southwest. This land use plan “will serve as a blueprint for future development and capital improvements in the area,” according to the city. Public participation is an “essential component in developing plans that reflect the community’s goals and values,” according to the city spokesman.
An informal open house will kick off the night at 6 p.m., followed by the workshop at 6:30 p.m. The workshop is slated to include “a presentation and visuals of citizen ideas generated through previous public input as well as small group sessions to discuss tools for accomplishing community goals in the subarea,” according to the city.
The workshop will be held in the Federal Way city council chambers, located on the second floor in City Hall. To learn more, contact Matt Herrera at (253) 835-2638 or matt.herrera@cityoffederalway.com. More information can be found at cityoffederalway.com/twinlakes or at engagefederalway.com.
