Lakehaven seeks applicants for board of commissioners

From staff reports:

The Lakehaven Utility District has announced a vacancy on its Board of Commissioners and is accepting applications for the vacant position. The deadline for submitting applications, which are available at the district office, at 31627 1st Ave. S. (or at www.lakehaven.org), is 4:30 p.m. Sept. 8. Additional information about the board vacancy is also available on the district’s website.

Applicants are sought to replace former commissioner Edward Stewart, who died July 24. Stewart was appointed to the board in 1999.

The board will review applications during a special board meeting on Sept. 14, 2010, and invite selected candidates to interview before the Board at the next regular board meeting on Sept. 23, 2010. The selection of the new member will be made following the interviews and the successful applicant will be sworn in at the regular meeting of Oct. 14, 2010. Questions about the application process can be directed to Lisa Alexander, Board Clerk, at (253) 946-5420.
