Operation Christmas Child is under way
October 30, 2009 · Updated 12:25 PM
Our Savior’s Baptist Church is the local relay center for Operation Christmas Child.
Filling a shoebox with simple toys, school supplies, hygiene items, hard candy (in a plastic bag) a personal note or small stuffed animal can bring joy and hope to a hurting child miles away. Families, schools, churches, civic organizations and neighborhoods can get involved.
The shoeboxes are delivered to over 100 countries around the world. The collection dates are Nov. 16-22. Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse. Visit www.samaritanspurse.org or call (253) 839-1092.
