The city of Federal Way will kick off its 2014 Green Living Workshop series with a screening of “The Clean Bin Project” from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8 at City Hall. The city notes the film “documents a couple’s attempt to live completely waste free through a spirited competition.”

The film screening is the first of the year for the Green Living Workshop series. The workshops began in response to citizen interest in sustainable/green living. Each workshop throughout the year “highlights different ways area residents can reduce their environmental impact and protect their family’s health, while saving energy and money.” Light refreshments, along with door prizes, are typically available throughout the workshop series.
