Churches are ready for Easter

Easter services and related events announced by local churches include:

• Church of the Good Shepherd and St. Columba's: Two Episcopal churches will share Holy Week services –– Maundy Thursday (April 13, 7:30 p.m., Good Shepherd, 345 S. 312th St. in Federal Way), Good Friday service (April 14 at noon at Good Shepherd and 7:30 p.m. at St. Columba's, 26715 Military Road S.), and the Great Vigil (April 15, 7:30 p.m., St. Columba's). • Resurrection Lutheran Church: Easter Eve casual worship (April 15, 5 p.m.) and Easter Sunday service at 7, 9 and 11 a.m. The church is at 4301 Browns Point Blvd.

• Our Savior's Baptist Church: Free, age-appropriate Easter egg hunt, April 15 at 10 a.m. The church is at 701 S. 320th St. in Federal Way. More information at 839-6822.

• First Baptist Church: "Amazing Grace," an Easter musical, April 16 at 11 a.m. at the church (22415 19th Ave. S. in Des Moines) and at 7 p.m. at Judson Park Retirement Community (23600 Marine View Dr.). Free, open to the public. The church will also host a Lenten bread and soup supper at 6 p.m. April 12. More information at (206) 878-3972.

• Calvary Chapel: Free breakfast on Easter Sunday, prepared and served by church members from 8 to 10 a.m. at Saghalie Middle School, 33914 19th Ave. SW. in Federal Way. "The breakfast is for anyone in the community," said pastor Garth Gill. More information at 838-2704.

• Sunrise United Methodist Church: Easter Festival, April 8, 3 to 4:30 p.m. Games, egg hunt. Admission is one canned food item per person, benefitting Multi-Service Center. The church is at 150 S. 356th St. in Federal Way.

Olympic View Friends Church and Marine View Presbyterian Church: 6:30 a.m. April 16 at Dash Point State Park, community sunrise service. Also, Olympic View will host a breakfast at 8:30 at 201 Browns Point Blvd. NE., followed by Sunday School and worship at 10:45.
