Women Who Pray hosts conference

Two South African pastors will be featured presenters when a Federal Way-based organization hosts the Women Pastors and Women in Ministry Conference Aug. 22-24.

Pastors Sophie Mlati and Jabu Mkhize, both of E’Shaddai Healing Center Church in Johannesburg, are part of the event scheduled for venues here and in Seattle. Workshops led by facilitators from throughout Washington also are planned, said Carolyn Hood, coordinator and founder of Women Who Pray International Intercessory Prayer Ministries.

She said the conference is open to men, women and children, although the focus is on women, “the primary backbone of church support systems.”

Registration and information are available at (253) 217-0007.

Hood, a licensed minister through Women Who Pray, said all cultures and denominations are welcome at the conference. “The only common denomination is Jesus,” she said.
