Recipe corner: Strawberry spinach salad

Strawberry spinach salad

• 2 bunches of spinach (4 bags washed)

• 1 pint of strawberries, sliced

Dressing:

• 1/2 cup sugar

• 2 Tbls. poppy seeds

• 2 Tbls. sesame seeds

• 1 1/2 tsp. onion, minced

• 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

• 1/4 tsp. Paprika

• 1/2 cup oil

• 1/4 cup cider vinegar

Mix dressing well. You can keep it at room temperature until you are ready to use it. Do not mix your salad ahead of time as it will wilt the spinach if left to sit. Toss the strawberries and spinach with the dressing and serve immediately. — Submitted by Rose Schuler, Federal Way resident
