Spring into summer

The Federal Way Community Center is now offering an eight-week “Spring into Summer” educational program that includes classes on nutrition, exercise and behavior change. The program began April 7 and lasts until June 2. It costs $85 for community center members and $150 for non-members.

The community center’s “Biggest Loser” contest, in which participants competed to lose the most weight during a 12-week period, inspired the program. The winner of the contest lost 52 pounds and 18 percent body fat.

For more information about the “Spring into Summer” program, contact Kimberly Shelton, Federal Way Community Center fitness and athletic coordinator, at (253) 835-6932.
