From staff reports:
A week after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, Federal Way resident Nita Delk wrote a song called "We Will Remember." Inspiration for the song came quickly, she said.
"I just felt very compelled," said Delk, who performed the song once in public at a school in 2002. "We were very impacted by the overwhelming grief."
Last month, Delk finally recorded the song over a two-week stretch with help from Dick Henderson at Henderson Productions in Federal Way. Delk sings four different parts on the track along with background vocals from her son Brandon Delk.
Check out the song in a YouTube video at www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_5rCclDj7I.
