Meet Spencer, who needs a new home | Pet of the Week

Spencer is a 6-year-old male pit bull terrier and boxer mix, about 55 pounds (ID #A517096). This sweet boy loves meeting new people. While a bit shy at first, if you’re calm and let him get used to you, he’ll soon be wagging his tail! He is good on a leash and loves going for walks. Spencer knows how to sit on command, shake paws and takes treats gently. He is very underweight and will need a home that will help him get up to a healthy weight. Due to initial shyness, Spencer would do best in a home with children 10 years and older who will understand he needs time to get used to them. He will also need to meet any current dogs in your home before being adopted. Spencer can be a bit loud when seeking attention, so he would do best in a house rather than an apartment. Spencer has been diagnosed with dermatitis, a skin condition, that is aggravated by allergies, so he may need to be on a special diet such as grain-free foods, which can be found at good pet supply stores. If you’re looking for a sweet guy to join your family, Spencer would love to meet you! He is neutered, current on vaccinations and micro-chipped! His $100 adoption fee also includes a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of pet insurance through Trupanion.
