Historical Society of Federal Way to host open house

The Historical Society of Federal Way invites the community to attend its holiday open house at the Steel Lake Annex Museum from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10.

Participants can enjoy refreshments and live music from the Todd Beamer Jazz Ensemble. The Historical Society’s exhibits include “Celebrate Jazz: Jackson Street after Hours.” Contributed by Seattle Times Jazz Critic Paul de Barros, it features a number of local Before they were Famous notables. Among the luminaries featured are a left-handed guitar player named Jimi and R.C. Robinson, a keyboard player from Tampa later known as Ray Charles.
