The local Philanthropic Education Organization chapter recently presented Morgan Withrow, of Federal Way, with a $3,000 PEO Continuing Education Grant to help her finish her bachelor’s degree at Washington State University, Carson’s College of Business.

P.E.O. is a nearly 150-year old service club for women whose purpose is to raise funds to provide for grants, loans and scholarships for women of all ages to return to school. There are five projects through the organization providing financial aid opportunities for women from high school seniors to women pursuing a doctoral degree.

Women interested in learning about the educational opportunities are encouraged to visit www.peointernational.org to see if they might qualify. They can be referred to a chapter in their locality for sponsorship.
