Entertainment: Fashion show at Commons mall, free concert at Browns Point

Fashion show: Summer Fest 2011 3rd Annual Fashion Show will run 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. July 23 at The Commons Mall in Federal Way. This is an outreach project for the community to come out to support young people ages 14-25, who will model clothes from various vendors in the local community. Dog park: The non-profit organization Park Pals will host a fundraiser, selling cookbooks and doggie bandanas from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 24 at French Lake Park, located off 1st Avenue South between 312th Street and 320th Street. The effort will raise money for a doggie-human drinking fountain at the park. Email volunteer@parkpals.org.

Concert in the Park: The 10th annual Concert in the Park will begin with a barbecue at 5 p.m. July 24 at Browns Point Lighthouse Park, 201 Tulalip St. NE, Tacoma. Music lineup includes Soundview, Marine View Contemporary Praise Band and Jim Kerl’s Swing Session Big Band (18-piece Big Band). Bring chairs and blankets. Contact (253) 229-9206.
