Beamer Dance Team wins ninth state hip hop championship

Topping off an undefeated season, the Todd Beamer Dance Team brought home its ninth state hip hop championship at the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association State Dance and Drill Tournament in Yakima. The Titans competed against teams statewide.

The 14-member team is coached by Debbie Goff. Team captains are Tiana Capshaw, Hannah Jordan and Sidney Stanton. The team’s award-winning routine was choreographed by Daniel Cruz, in collaboration with the the dance team.

Their season officially ends with its annual showcase and fundraiser, the Beamer Breakdown, May 5-6 at Todd Beamer High School. Beamer Breakdown will feature performances from the dance team and guest performers. Ticket and concession sales at the event help fund the team’s travel, costumes and other expenses.
