Never have I ever seen such convoluted reasoning for NOT endorsing candidates! How do you call Roger Flygare, who is running for South King Fire and Rescue commissioner, a career politician when he has never held office in Federal Way? And to say he has ties to the current board should be seen as a negative?

Bill Gates, one of the most competent and respected persons I know is on the board and it is an honor for Roger Flygare if he is respected and considered a worthy candidate for a board position by Bill Gates. Yes, I will proudly vote for Roger Flygare!

Then to say Randy Smith, who is running for Lakehaven commissioner would be better suited for City Council? What does that mean? Sounds like you are demeaning the very important position of a sewer commissioner.

If Randy Smith is qualified to be on the City Council, surely he is qualified to be elected sewer commissioner. My vote is for Randy Smith! Sure doesn’t seem like I can take the Mirror’s endorsements seriously now or in the future.
