Roegner wrong on methanol plant | Letter

I am a resident of Tacoma and have grave concerns, not unreasonable fears, about the proposed plant.

I am a resident of Tacoma and have grave concerns, not unreasonable fears, about the proposed plant. One reason that the “facts” are elusive is that Northwest Innovation Works and the gas industry operate in secrecy and hide much information from the public, governments and activists.

Please take some time to educate yourself about this project. There is a lot of non-biased, non-fear-based information at redlinetacoma.org. You will find the entire presentation by Wilma Supra, a leading and well-respected scientist, who presented several talks in the Tacoma area last month on this topic.

The stand that Federal Way and other local municipalities have taken is the right thing to do. It is a shame that the Tacoma City Council and mayor have politically aligned themselves with the project and have abdicated their elected role in representing the citizens of Tacoma.

I fully support the cities and tribes that have had the guts to come out against this disaster waiting to happen. My question is whether the author of the article is in any way profiting from the proposed methanol refinery or is on the payroll of Northwest Innovation Works or its subsidiaries. Sounds like it.
